Forget school French classes and exams. The U3A French Chat Group presents an informal opportunity to practice the French you already know no matter how much or little and to help expand your vocabulary and understanding of the language in a very relaxed way.

Generally members of the group prepare a brief talk on a subject agreed at the previous meeting eg holidays, recommended film or tv programme, French customs etc followed by a story read in turn, however if you do not feel confident enough, there is no pressure to do this – just sit back and listen until you feel ready. The structure is by no means cast in stone so fresh ideas are always welcome.

We meet at Beech Hill Book Cycle 10.30 – 12.00 generally on the first Friday of the month though it is best to check beforehand.
