The events arranged by the Dining Out team have continued to be popular over the last few months. The number attending has varied between 20 and 25 for the majority of the events. In March we had a meal at Franco's Italian Restaurant in the centre of Wigan. Everyone enjoyed a very tasty 2 course meal, with a few people paying extra for a dessert! I was so busy chatting and eating that I forgot to take any photos! ( which is very unlike me.)

In April we had lunch at 'La Mama' in Standish. The food was delicious, and very reasonably priced. In May we had a Spanish Tapas themed dinner at 'The Wheel' which is the training restaurant for Wigan College. The starters and main courses were served banquet style. The food was plentiful and extremely tasty. If I closed my eyes, I could have been back in Spain! It was very popular, with 40 people attending.

In June, 14 of us went to The Raj Gate in Orrell for our regular Curry Night. As usual, we all enjoyed a starter, main course and rice or naan bread for £15!

July saw us return to Miller and Carter in Parbold. Most people had 2 courses for £17.95. A few of us managed to find room for a dessert! This time I even remembered to capture the occasion! Every time we meet there is a lot of laughter and merriment! There is always room for new people to join us, and you might just find a new favourite restaurant!
