In the Wigan u3a we like Christmas so much that we arranged two Christmas lunches! At the beginning of December forty five of us had a delicious meal at The White Lion in Wrightington. The food was tasty and the service and ambience were excellent. An added extra was that everyone was given a mini scroll with their name and menu choices on.
Later in the month forty of us had a very tasty three course meal at The Wheel, which is affiliated to Wigan College. Again, the service and food were excellent. As you can see, a lot of people wore Christmas jumpers to get into the spirit of the occasion.
