We are having a practical Resuscitation Training session on the 19th August at 12.30pm at Wigan Cricket Club. This follows on after a half-hour break from the usual 3rd Wednesday Members Meeting, and will be free of change to attend.

The session will be given by Eunice Gandy who is one of our own members. She is a Registered Nurse, and still works part-time. She used to work in the High Dependency Unit at Wrightington Hospital. The session will cover basic CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) using a dummy, use of a defibrillator and also what to do when a person is choking. There will be an opportunity to practice the appropriate techniques.

There are however only limited spaces available, so please let Jenny Swift know if you would like to attend. If there is sufficient interest, then it may be possible to arrange another session.
