Looking for inspiration for possible photo subjects? A reason to get the camera out and go in search of something different to photograph.
There are always lots of challenges to be found on line, asking for images to match a particular theme. Challenge yourself to take part. Look what photos other people have taken. If you're happy with your results, upload them into competitions or galleries to get feedback (and who knows, maybe even a prize). Here's links to some places with regular competition entries invited ….

u3a Eye Competition Link
We are running a rolling photography project to encourage members to take and submit pictures of their surroundings. We post a different theme every two month and invite you to submit your photo on that topic. This is not a competition and it is not only about your photographic skill – we are looking for any interesting photos and interpretations of the theme. Anything which has captured your imagination or caught your eye.
At the end of every deadline, we will choose and publish up to 15 photos in the online gallery." Please only submit one photo per person, per theme. Your photo should also not include any people.
Next Closing Date: 12 midday on Thursday 22 May 2026: Competition theme: ''Fancy'' (With a theme of 'Nostalgia' to follow as the next theme after that.)
