Paying for Events - IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

What we need from you...

1Do contact organisers to make sure that they still have capacity to add you to their event BEFORE you make any payment; also to confirm what payments methods are acceptable. For some events this may be cash only.
2If paying by cash, please put the correct amount into an envelope with the details of what event this is for, total value enclosed, and name(s) and member ID's of who the payment is for on outside. Hand in on Cricket Club meeting dates as specified in event description, on or before the payment deadline. (If you don't have a Member ID, please make sure you also give a phone number and email address as a way to contact you).
3If paying through online banking, by BACS, DO make sure you identify what event or purpose the payment is for in the reference field, and add your Surname and Member ID's too (space permitting!) to help with matching up. BACS details are as follows: Wigan u3a, 05-09-81, 41881671.
Plus don't just make the payment, however, but do also EMAIL the organiser to say the payment has now been submitted. (This allows us to keep admin records up to date immediately, without having to wait for the next opportunity to reconcile via the treasurer's bank receipts records).
Payments by credit/debit card are accepted for Subscriptions but not for individual events and group payments.

The above processes have been devised to help the organiser be able to enjoy themselves at the event without any administrative headaches on the day, the treasurer to be able to quickly match any receipts to the right place, and also to minimise any queuing at Members' Meetings. Your help in making this possible is much appreciated
