A small and friendly group, our meetings aim to provide a relaxed, informal get-together for people interested in writing. This isn’t a writing ‘class’, but a chance for you to chat and share with other people who have an interest in writing – in all of its many forms; short stories, poetry, memoirs, articles, novels – all are welcome!
Meeting on the second and fourth Thursday afternoons of the month at 2.00 – 4.00 pm, normally this is at the Beech Hill Book Cycle, but for Autumn 2026 will relocate to the Brocket Hotel. We have a coffee, a chat, a laugh and share samples of our writing. We don’t aim to criticise, but to encourage and spur on anyone who has the creative writing bug.
Car parking is available in the Brocket's adjacent car park, however subject to purchase of drinks and snacks, and logging your registration number using the log-in machine by the tills on the main bar. Please don't forget this bit !!! And meeting will be in the smaller conference room at the rear of the bar.
