Perhaps best described as a cross between Tennis and Squash. This fun, fast-paced racket sport is new to Wigan, played in doubles on a smaller court with walls. It
uses solid, string-less rackets and tennis-style scoring. Easy to learn, sociable and perfect for all ages and skill levels – a fast-growing sport with emphasis on strategy and teamwork.

Imagine a tennis court inside a perspex box. If the ball hits the wall before bouncing it is out, same as tennis, but in Padel if it bounces then hits the wall it is still in play. The receiver can still hit it directly from the rebound or can even hit it back at the wall themselves to fire it back over the net that way.

The group meets weekly on Tuesday mornings. Pop down and have a look, or send an enquiry by the group email link above.
