What ever your knowledge of the language the U3A Spanish Chat Group presents an informal opportunity to practise the Spanish you already have no matter how much or little and to help expand your vocabulary and understanding of the language in a very relaxed way.

Generally members of the group prepare a brief talk on a subject agreed at the previous meeting eg holidays, recommended film or tv programme, Spanish customs etc followed by a story, article, song even, read in turn. However if you don’t feel confident about doing this, just sit back, relax and listen This structure is by no means cast in stone so fresh ideas are always welcome.

Our usual venue has been the Beech Hill Book Cycle 10.30 – 12.00 generally on the first Thursday of the month.

*** However with this venue being temporarily closed with effect from October 2026, the group will relocate to an alternative location of the Brocket Arms Hotel on Mesnes Road (WN1 2DD). Additionally the Meeting Date will change to Wednesday rather than the usual Thursday for immediate future as part of this work around. ***

Please note that free parking is available in the adjacent car park, (access between the hotel and the Asda store next door) but you DO need to purchase coffees and snacks, and log your car registration on the screen by the tills at the main bar.

The next meeting dates will be Wednesdays 7th October and 4th November in the Brocket, time remaining at 10:30 to 12:00.
