The Urban Sketching Group meet most Wednesdays, usually in the mornings. We also occasionally travel to nearby towns and cities for a full day of sketching.

We meet in a local area with interesting surroundings to draw, always with a café/pub nearby. We spend an hour or so sketching, then round off the session with a drink and a chat, looking at our sketches and sharing drawing tips. All welcome for a relaxing few hours of sketching and conversation. Any skill level, just bring your sketchpad and pencil/pen. A lightweight fold-up stool would be useful too.

OUTDOOR SESSIONS ONLY...We are weather-dependent so the sessions may be subject to cancellation/venue alteration at short notice. We have a WhatsApp group for this purpose.

PERSONAL RISK ASSESSMENT....Please be aware that you are responsible for your own health and safety. Also please take into consideration your own health and the health of people within your household before attending the session. We want all our group to stay safe.

Sadly the current group is close to capacity. (It can be very cosy when we retreat into a cafe at the end of the sketching session!). But if you would like to give us a try please do enquire.
