| Address: | 38 Mesnes Rd Wigan WN1 2DD |
The Brocket Hotel is about half a mile outside of the Town Centre, heading out along Bridgemann Terrace and up towards the Cherry Gardens roundabout, or about 15 minutes walk from the Wigan bus station. It is now part of the Wetherspoon chain, and has a large bar and dining area, tea and coffee at great prices, snacks and bar service. Maybe come early if you fancy their breakfast offering or stay for lunch after the meeting if not rushing off.
The venue has step free access via a ramp up onto the outdoor terrace fronting onto Mesnes Road.
Note that there is only very limited car parking in surrounding streets, but the hotel does have its own paid car park - turn left just before the hotel if coming from the town centre direction, down the side of the building. Parking cost can be offset against the cost of food in the hotel. Alternately Mesnes Road is on a couple of the circular bus routes that serve Beech Hill and Whitley areas (nearest stop is Mesnes Road opposite Green Hayes Avenue - see the Bee Network app for full details of other areas on these routes).
